Editorial overview
PSK Reporter replaces a hopeful CQ with observable evidence. Compatible digital-mode programs automatically send reception reports when they decode a callsign, frequency and locator; the website turns those reports into a map of who heard whom. An operator can transmit briefly, filter for the callsign and discover whether a signal reached the next region or another continent. The same stream reveals which bands and modes are active, while statistics and developer interfaces make the data useful beyond the map.
A report proves that one configured receiver and decoder copied a transmission, not that a two-way contact is possible or that the path will remain open. Missing points can reflect an inactive monitor, wrong locator, local noise or filtering rather than failed propagation. Dense FT8 activity also gives some bands much better coverage than uncommon modes. Used with those caveats, PSK Reporter is an unusually immediate way to test antennas, power changes and propagation forecasts against the signals that reached real radios.
