Lotus Water Recipe Calculator

Lotus makes water adjustment tangible by reducing a chemistry recipe to measured drops. Its calculator combines magnesium, calcium, sodium and potassium concentrates, offering named profiles or custom targets for a selected volume. Because the company has used more than one dropper shape, the page asks which style is present before calculating quantities. The output lists drops and estimated ions in milligrams per litre, making it possible to compare the actual direction of two recipes rather than relying only on marketing names.

This is a calculator for one commercial kit, not a universal mineral formulation engine. Drops have physical variation, small batches magnify rounding, and the reported concentration is an estimate rather than a water test. Flavor water may also be unsuitable for an espresso boiler if buffering and scale risk are not evaluated separately. Users should start from distilled or appropriately controlled base water and avoid assuming more minerals are better. Lotus is most useful for structured taste experiments where one component changes at a time.
