C-MAP DISCOVER is aimed at people who want fishing structure and marine context on the same chart. High-resolution bathymetry can reveal contour changes, and custom depth shading lets a user emphasize a working range or safety depth. The product adds vector chart objects, tide and current projections, marina plans and automatic route assistance on compatible chartplotters. An ENC-style option is available in some locations, while purchased coverage includes a defined online update period.

The chart package is tied to supported hardware and regional coverage choices, and not every feature exists in every area. C-MAP explicitly notes that its ENC representation is not an IMO-approved ECDIS product. Automatic routing is calculated assistance, not evidence that a plotted path is currently clear, and charted depths depend on source age and datum. For fishing, use shading to understand terrain, then verify water level, hazards and local rules independently rather than following a colored band as if it were surveyed that morning.
