Editorial overview
Aloft separates two jobs that pilots sometimes confuse. Air Aware is the public B4UFLY interface for inspecting controlled airspace, facility-map ceilings, restrictions and nearby advisories; Air Control is where an eligible U.S. pilot can request LAANC authorization. The help center identifies map sources and refresh intervals, so a user can distinguish an FAA layer from a terrestrial rule or weather panel instead of treating every colored shape alike.
A green advisory is not a universal legal clearance, and a UAS Facility Map altitude is not authorization by itself. Aloft notes that temporary restrictions can change and that B4UFLY covers only part of a complete preflight assessment. Land access, local rules, pilot qualification, Remote ID, weather and manufacturer limitations remain outside the map's simple status. Confirm that a LAANC request says Authorized for the correct area, height and time, then repeat the airspace and TFR check immediately before launch.
